Our Vision is:
Presenting an annual summer festival showcasing the diverse cultures of our community.
Providing year round activities and programs that highlight our community’s great and varied cultural heritage.
Becoming the primary resource to educate the community on diverse cultures.
What We Do
The Edmonton Heritage Festival is a three day celebration of multiculturalism held annually in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley. In 2020, the Festival will take place August 1st, 2nd and 3rd and will feature over 70 pavilions representing over 100 countries and cultures. An estimated 1,300 volunteers from participating cultural organizations will work countless hours sharing their talent, enthusiasm, and culinary skills. Pavilions offer dance, arts and foods from the land of their ancestors.
On site visitor attendance can reach more than est. 350,000.
We are a member of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF). This will make the festival an “Intangible Cultural Heritage Asset” with CIOFF’s Sponsor UNESCO and will register, recognize and market the Festival worldwide.
