About Us

The Edmonton Heritage Festival Association (EHFA) proudly delivers one of Canada’s largest and most inclusive multicultural events, the annual Heritage Festival. Our work supports cultural expression, community engagement, and the ongoing celebration of over 70 diverse cultural communities.

We’re seeking passionate, community-driven leaders to join our Board of Directors.

Role Overview

As a Volunteer Board Member, you will help guide the long-term vision, governance, and strategic direction of the association. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team of volunteer leaders and cultural partners to ensure the festival continues to foster unity, representation, and world-class programming.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the strategic planning and governance of the organization.

Participate in monthly board meetings and committee work.

Provide oversight related to policy, financial stewardship, and organizational performance.

Act as an ambassador for the Edmonton Heritage Festival and promote its mission.

Support initiatives that advance diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.

What We’re Looking For

Strong commitment to community service and cultural celebration.

Experience in governance, leadership, community engagement, non-profit work, or related areas.

Ability to collaborate, think strategically, and prioritize organizational goals.
