Formed in 1990, WAJJO African Drummers introduce African music to a Western audience and creating, through collaboration with musicians from other ethnic backgrounds, an indigenous musical tradition that is a reflection of Canada’s rich cultural diversity. Recently Wajjo performed in Toronto for Grey Cup on November 24, 2007 at Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel and opened at Edmonton popular Heritage Festival for one of Canada’s top female Artist Natalie MacMaster on August 3, 2008. Wajjo also performed in Victoria, BC on December 2009 and in Quebec City on October 2011.
Manny V. Y Su Esquina Latina is an Edmonton Latin based musical group that prides itself on promoting Latino music and dance in the province of Alberta. Established in 2017 by Manny Valencia, Esquina Latina has had success across the province in various cities, festivals, events and night clubs. Esquina Latina’s music promotes rhythms from all across Latin America with signing in both English and in Spanish. It’s music will keep the dancers wanting more and is widely accepted for all ethnicities!

Mboya Nicholson is an Edmonton jazz pianist and studied jazz with respected Alberta jazz greats, Bill Richards and Charlie Austin. He has performed internationally and worked as a strings arranger for conductor Colin Mendez Morris.
Mboya resides in Edmonton teaching, performing, and composing.
Edmonton's Reggae Sweethearts Souljah Fyah are coming together for a special reunion show at Heritage Music Festival on July 31. Founded in 2002, Souljah Fyah earned a JUNO nomination, two Western Canadian Music Awards, and were twice crowned in Toronto as Best Reggae Band in Canada by the Canadian Reggae Music Awards and the Reggae Music Achievement Awards. Shelly Gummeson from Earshot-Online said: "On and off-stage... [lead singer] Sista J exudes a high voltage, positive energy. Unfettered without setting limitations is precisely the attitude and energy that has propelled Edmonton's Souljah Fyah to become Canada's top Reggae band." The name itself G.A.M.E is an acronym that was given to her by one of her mentors which stands for Girls About Makin Endz.
Representing for all the independent hard working woman.Her talent and ambition is obvious to all who have watched her grow and excel but also admired her versatility, charisma and consistency.
She is the total package; a beautiful woman with skills to rock any party out.Her vast knowledge of many genres has placed her in the forefront alongside her male counterparts.
She is also known for her signature mixtapes and podcasts that have received well over 500,000 downloads and streams worldwide.

Edmonton Hung Mon Lion Dance is passionate about bringing the art of traditional Chinese lion dance to western Canada with unsurpassed quality and technique. Rooted in the strength of the Canadian Chinese community, Hung Mon brings only their best work through the culmination of passion, camaraderie, and dedicated training. Hung Mon practices the Futsan style, the original style of traditional Chinese lion dance. Hung Mon incorporates positive, supportive teaching techniques while preserving the ancient traditions of this style from which they are proudly descended.
Mariachi Loco is band based in Edmonton that plays non-traditional and traditional Mexican and Latin American songs and rhythms. We have been performing all over Alberta and British Columbia for the past 4 years and we love to share our culture and energy with the world.

Punjabi Heritage and Folk is an Edmonton-based dance academy that specializes in Punjabi folk dances, instrumental training, singing training and much more. Our teams compete on national and international levels annually. We’ve had the pleasure to win various competitions such as Bhangra at the falls, flower city Bhangra, Bhangra in the six, Big City Bhangra, Elite Bhangra, Sikh federation competition and many more. We are proud to be putting Edmonton on the map and to represent Alberta on such a big level.

Sugar Swing brings people together for fun parties, engaging classes, and captivating shows with music, dancing, and sweet moves! Their performance team, Mad Cat Swing, brings together Lindy Hop, Charleston, Solo Jazz, and a bit of tap into its performances. It is a group of dedicated, wild, talented, and ultimately friendly dancers. They perform with as little as 2 couples and up to 16 dancers, in all kinds of settings. This group has been performing since 2007, and over several generations of dancers, they keep reaching new heights, both figuratively... and literally with airsteps! Past shows have included features at Symphony Under The Sky, Swing n Skate at City Hall, the Winspear Centre, Edmonton Legislature, Fort Edmonton Park. In 2018 and 2019, they produced and performed in their own highly-rated shows for the Edmonton Fringe Festival. After 16 looong months, these cats are back!
