Site Team Leader

Location: 14603 118A Ave NW Edmonton,AB 

Terms: Fulltime Contract from May 13- Aug 30th 

Option to return annually.  

Requirements: Must be fully available July-Aug 

Compensation: $22-$25 

Reports to: Site Manager 

 

Job Brief: 

 We are looking for team leaders (4) to help lead the set up and tear down of Edmonton Heritage Festival. Leading/overseeing a crew of 4 and giving directions in daily tasks.  

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills. Be able and ready to work in any weather condition. Must be able to multi task and have great organizational skills.  

 

About the Edmonton Heritage Festival Association ( EHFA ): 

 

Our Mission is to “ To promote public awareness, understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity through an annual summer festival”.  

 

We present Heritagefest annually and assist other cultural events over the course of the remainder of the year.  

 

We are a member of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts  (CIOFF). Our shared partner, UNESCO, has named us an “ Intangible Cultural Heritage Asset”. 

 

Heritagefest is the world’s largest three-day celebration of multiculturalism. It is a collection of Alberta based cultural groups that come together to share their history, song, dance, and food with the world from tented pavilions. 

Up to one hundred cultural organizations present to over three hundred thousand live patrons.  It is facilitated by the Edmonton Heritage Festival Association a non for profit/ charity, overseen by a Board of Directors and managed by a small staff

Responsibilities: 

Support multiple diverse cultural group in ensuring and running their festival pavilion is up and running 

Work along side with the site manager to oversee and manage the set up/tear down of the festival. 

 Work with all pavilion organizers to answer questions and resolve outstanding issues to help make the festival run smoothly. 

Manage a crew of 4 and make sure the daily tasks are completed. 

Be helpful and respectful during the event with the patrons, pavilions. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

A returning past secondary student 

Sense of ownership and pride in your everyday duties and its impact on company’s success 

Keep a clean and positive work environment.  

Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting ( 20lbs) 

Driver’s license required.
